After three straight wins in closely-contested fashion, the Blue Jackets used a stellar second period to cruise to a 5-2 victory on Tuesday night. We've gathered the reaction from head coach John Tortorella and the Blue Jackets' players following the game.

John Tortorella

On tonight being a complete team game: "I thought we had really good energy when the game started. I thought it's the best checking we've done all year long, and I think that helped us create offense."

On whether the team benefited from a good pace to the game: "Yeah, I thought we were quick, I thought we were simple, but to me it comes from our legs. I thought we checked with our legs. We always had people above the puck and let that cause a lot of problems through the neutral zone for them, and we were able to counter."

On Cam Atkinson's goal 36 seconds into the second period: "Great stick by [Alex Wennberg] at the blue line... that's a hell of a goal by Cam [Atkinson]. He's being checked from behind, he's in close, he makes a hell of a move."

On goalie Joonas Korpisalo: "Korpisalo made some key saves in key times. I thought it was a great bounce-back game for him, where we thought he struggled a little bit in Chicago."

On the lines: "I liked our lines. I thought we had good balance. Obviously when we had the lead I was able to roll my lines and let them play. I thought [Lukas] Sedlak's line played really well, I thought they checked well. It's probably [Lukas's] best game, because he was more physical."

On winning five of six to start the season and going home for four games: "We go home, we have tomorrow off [as] a travel day, we just get ready for our next game."

Cam Atkinson

On the high pace of the game: "We knew that they were gonna come out hard in their building, they usually do. We just kind of weathered the storm [in the first period] a little bit. Second period we kind of took over, and the floodgates opened for us."

On 12 players getting on the scoresheet: "Any time you have all lines and [defense] contributing it's huge for us, and we're gonna need that going forward."

On getting more shots: "I thought for the most part we shot as much as we could, and the scoresheet said it all."

On the importance of two points tonight and 10 so far on the season: "You want to get these points in the bank. It's a long season, and the start of the season is the toughest."

Nick Foligno

On whether his goal tonight was one of his best: "Yeah, I think the scenario of the game... it was obviously great to score a goal like that, but I think knowing that we were up 1-0 at the time, and in a barn like this, you have to try and find a way to keep padding and padding the score."

Jack Johnson

On his goal: "[David Savard] and [Brandon Dubinsky] made the whole play. [Savard] just skated us out of trouble and got it to Josh [Anderson], and [Dubinsky] shook off the check and I knew if he gave it to me I knew had an empty net so I just tried not to miss the net."
