The Blue Jackets (9-6-1) fell 3-1 to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday at Nationwide Arena despite outshooting them 36-29. Here's the reaction from head coach John Tortorella and a few Blue Jackets players.
John Tortorella
On Pierre-Luc Dubois' goal: "It's such a nice goal, but what I liked was his acceleration, because I thought he was gonna get caught. But that's a pretty good goal. I wish it stood for something tonight."
On the second Predators goal and whether he thought it was goaltender interference: "They told me because [David Savard] had caught the guy's stick and checking him, that that had something to do with him losing his balance and going into the goalie. But that's the call. It's a goal where I think we lose our backcheck, we don't come all the way back. We talk about it all the time, bad angled shots are very dangerous in this league, and it just shows you that you always have to continue to backcheck."
On what Cam Atkinson put back into the lineup: "We played him a lot. As we talked about before, Cam's Cam. He brings a lot of energy. Had some opportunities, makes a great play to Nick [Foligno], and then to [Alexander Wennberg] where Wenny just doesn't bang it in the open net."
On why Seth Jones was moved around on the power play: "Because it hasn't worked. It hasn't worked."

On not converting chances in the final period: "We got some good looks, wide open net there that we didn't bury on, that's just the way it is. We're going through a little period right now of learning experiences."
On being paired with Werenski for the power play: "I think we're getting a lot of shots on net. I'm not sure how many we got tonight, but we got some good looks, especially that last one there with three minutes left."

On the line with himself, Wennberg, and Artemi Panarin: "[Panarin] made some great passes to me backdoor, and I think that first one might have went off either [the goalie's] glove or his helmet or the bar. Then we just missed one on another wraparound, and then I had a couple wraparounds where the goalie made a couple nice saves. We're there, we're close."
