The Blue Jackets and Capitals have dates and times for their first-round Stanley Cup playoffs series.
Game One will take place Thursday, April 12 with a puck drop of 7:30 p.m. The Capitals will host the Blue Jackets for Games One and Two before the series moves back to Columbus for Game Three.

Should the series go further than four games, the Capitals will host Game Five on Saturday, April 21, the Blue Jackets will host Game Six on Monday, April 23 and the Caps will host the series-deciding game in D.C. on Wednesday, April 25.
The Blue Jackets are 12–17–1–6 all time against the Washington Capitals. The two teams have never met in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
