Finally, some good news!
Ryan Murray, one of the Blue Jackets' top defensemen, has been sitting on injured reserve with an upper-body injury since late November. Now taking another step on the road to recovery, the 24-year-old is traveling with the team to both Dallas and Denver this week.
Aaron Portzline of The Athletic tweeted this earlier today:
#CBJ D Ryan Murray is on this Dallas-Denver trip. Doubt he draws in to lineup, but thats always a good first step.

Murray averages the second most blocked shots (1.75 per game) along the Blue Jackets' blue line and records an average of 17:28 ice time, so he's no small part of their back end. He was spotted skating on his own in recent weeks before shutting down, but now that he's rejoined the team, it would seem his return isn't far off.
This seemingly-good news comes at a time when the Blue Jackets appear to need some defensive help too, seeing as how they've allowed five goals in three consecutive games.
