- If ever there was a time to get the power play offense clicking for the Blue Jackets, it may be tonight. The Canadiens' penalty kill has allowed 52 goals on the season, just one behind the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks for worst in the league. Moreover, they've allowed a power play goal in each of the last five games they've played.
- Particularly hot during this winning streak for the Blue Jackets has been the top defensive pairing of Seth Jones and Zach Werenski. The duo has combined for six goals and four assists during the last five games.
