The Blue Jackets are in the middle of their 10-game winning streak and it appears everyone in the organization is winning.

Current Blue Jackets assistant GM Bill Zito has been named GM for USA Hockey's roster at the upcoming men's World Championships. This role will be in addition to his current title with the Blue Jackets. He also holds the title of GM of the Cleveland Monsters.

His first project will be putting together the American roster for the Men's World Championship that takes place in May.

From the USA Hockey press release:

“This is a tremendous honor and I want to thank USA Hockey for the opportunity,” said Zito via the press release. “I look forward to working with the advisory group in building a team that will represent our country well. I’d also like to thank John Davidson, Jarmo Kekalainen and the Blue Jackets for their support and allowing me to take on this endeavor."

Zito will join a team of general managers already under the USA Hockey banner. Stan Bowman (Chicago Blackhawks), David Poile (Nashville Predators), Ray Shero (New Jersey Devils), Dale Tallon (Florida Panthers), and Jeff Gorton (New York Rangers) will all be part of the brain trust.

Zito has been part of the Blue Jackets organization since the summer of 2013.
