The club placed Carson Meyer on injured reserve with an oblique injury that they expect will sideline him for six-to-eight weeks. The Blue Jackets have recalled forward Trey Fix-Wolansky from AHL Cleveland.

Meyer has not registered a point in 13 NHL games this year and has scored six goals and 12 assists for 18 points in 15 AHL games this season.
Fix-Wolansky played four NHL games this season and did not register a point but is the 13th leading-scorer in the AHL with 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 in 26 games.
