The Blue Jackets activated defenseman Adam Boqvist off injured reserve on Saturday after a 13-game absence. He hasn't played since Dec. 5 when he suffered a shoulder strain.
In 13 games this season, he's posted 0-3--3, and since being acquired by the Blue Jackets ahead of the 2021-22 season, he's recorded 16-33--49 in 111 games.
The Blackhawks selected Boqvist with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. In 187 games over five seasons, he's registered 22-56--78.
His addition to the blueline is a welcomed sight for the Blue Jackets, who have been dealing with several injuries to players including Patrik Laine, Boone Jenner, and Zach Werenski.
