The Blue Jackets are going to be fully healthy at forward with Matt Calvert returning to the lineup and was activated from injured reserve (IR). He will replace Tyler Motte and will get an opportunity to make an impact on a solid line. The Athletic's Aaron Portzline was the first to report that Motte would be a healthy scratch.

As far as a corresponding move, Blue Jackets defenseman Ryan Murray was placed on injured reserve which is retroactive to November 27. His injury has been described as "upper-body." Scott Harrington has taken his place in the lineup the previous two games.

Calvert was initially injured on a hit delivered by Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Dan Girardi on November 4. In 14 games this season, Calvert has scored three goals and contributed five assists for a total of eight points. His point per game numbers is near the top among Blue Jackets forwards.

Motte has been playing with Lukas Sedlak and Oliver Bjorkstrand before being a healthy scratch. He has three goals with one assist for 14 points in 15 games played.
