The Columbus Blue Jackets center depth just got that much thinner.

Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky will be out with an orbital bone fracture for six to eight weeks. Dubinsky suffered the injury during a fight with Zach Kassian late in the third period. The Blue Jackets would go on to lose the game 7-2.

The Athletic's Aaron Portzline also reports that in addition to the fracture, Dubinsky had to get stitches above and below his eye.

"Brandon suffered an orbital bone fracture that will keep him out of the lineup for six to eight weeks," said Kekalainen via a press release from the team. "At this time, the damage has not affected the function of his eye and long-term vision. He will continue to be monitored closely by our medical team."

The Blue Jackets called up forward Jordan Schroeder from the Cleveland Monsters before announcing the injury to Dubinsky.

In 31 games this season, Dubinsky has scored three goals and has nine assists for a total of 12 points on the season.
