Perhaps the goaltender of the future, Elvis Merzlikins has a personality that shines through on social media and in person. It won't be a surprise when he becomes a fan favorite.
Given his outspoken personality, it might not surprise people if he gets under other players skin.
The HC Lugano goaltender got into it with fellow teammate Raffaele Sannitz (a former Blue Jacket pick, hat tip to a redditor for pointing it out) and it went on for quite a while as both players were throwing strikes.
After coaches and others intervened it seems to dissipate. After the fight, Maxim Lapierre (former NHLer) went up to the two of them and forced the duo to hug.
While it isn't great when teammates are getting into it with one another, you have to respect the fact that in the same practice they were able to squash the beef. Lapierre appears to be a fantastic mediator.
