The hometown boy is off and running.

In the first period against the Dallas Stars, Jack Roslovic beat Anton Khudobin with a wrist shot to give the Blue Jackets a 2-0 lead. A nice pass from Zach Werenski gave Roslovic the opportunity and he made the most of it.

It was Roslovic's first goal of the season. He didn't suit up until he was traded from Winnipeg to Columbus along with Patrik Laine. In four and one-third games with the Blue Jackets, Roslovic has notched 1-2-3 in an expanded role under John Tortorella.

"I'm super motivated," said Roslovic after the trade. "I'm going to take a role here that I've been waiting for–I want to do it for myself, but for my team and the city."

He's certainly been doing a solid job so far.
