The Blue Jackets announced Wednesday that the following players will be limited when on-ice work begins at training camp on Thursday:

  • G Daniil Tarasov (knee, day-to-day)
  • RW Kirill Marchenko (back strain, day-to-day)
  • D Jake Bean (abductor strain, week-to-week)
  • RW Mathieu Olivier (leg, week-to-week)

Last season, Bean missed 68 games with a shoulder injury, Tarasov missed seven games with an upper-body injury, and Olivier missed 11 games with an ankle injury, according to nhlinjuryviz.blogspot.com.

After the 2022-23 season that saw the Blue Jackets compile over 500 man-games lost, the club will hope that injuries are not a theme of the 2023-24 campaign.
