TALKING POINTS: PHI

  • The Flyers are ice cold. Losers of seven straight with an 0-6-1 record, Philadelphia has been outscored 32-15 and have connected on only two of their 20 power play chances during the stretch. Tuesday's game will be their 4th in six nights, so fatigue could be a factor.

  • Kevin Hayes is the team leader in assists (and second overall on the team in points) and the 30-year-old center has been linked to the Blue Jackets in a potential offseason trade. Keep an eye on his game, because it seems at least plausible that he'll be in a Columbus sweater this fall.

TALKING POINTS: CBJ

  • The writing is all over the wall and it's the number one topic of conversation amongst the 5th Line right now: if Columbus loses their final three games, they're guaranteed a top three pick and would be the odds-on favorite to grab Connor Bedard in this summer's draft. Philadelphia is obviously a winnable game for the Blue Jackets — the question is whether or not that's a good thing
