After being thoroughly outplayed through the first 40 minutes, the Blue Jackets bounced back to beat the Flyers 3-2 in a shootout.

With the win, the Jackets improved to 13-19-8.

Here are three things from Thursday's game:

Daniil Tarasov Impresses

The 24-year-old netminder entered Thursday's contest with an .877SV% but single-handedly kept the Blue Jackets in this game, making 39 saves and stopping all three Flyers shootout attempts. According to moneypuck.com, he posted a phenomenal 1.49 goals saved above expected. Over his last two starts including Thursday, he's posted a .939SV%.

Travis Konecny: Jackets Killer

Konecny scored both of Philaelphia's goals tonight and has now scored 15 goals against Columbus in his career including five this season, per stathead.com.

Strong Penalty Kill

The Blue Jackets' penalty kill was fantastic on Thursday. They were 4/4 and killed off a full two-minute five-on-three late in the first. The Blue Jackets entered this contest with the second-worst penalty kill (67.4%) since Dec. 1, so Thursday was a massive step in the right direction.
