Chances are if you've bought a Blue Jackets jersey the past few years, it has looked the same.

The Blue Jackets have been a model of consistency when it comes to their togs over the last decade, wearing the current union blue primary sweaters for the past 10 seasons. The only real change to the primary jersey has been replacing the shoulder patch, swapping out the union army hat logo with the third jersey cannon, in 2015.

But changes could be afoot. With the NHL switching uniform providers from Reebok to Adidas this offseason, we already knew third jerseys would be going by the wayside for the time being. And a report today from uniform and logo expert Chris Creamer indicates the Jackets could be in store for an even bigger change, listing Columbus among a dozen teams that are looking at editing their look.

Also listed are Boston, Buffalo, Calgary, Colorado, Dallas, Edmonton, Florida, Minnesota, Nashville, New Jersey (ironically) and Ottawa along with the obvious one, the expansion Vegas Golden Knights.

The site points out the changes likely will be minor, unlike when Columbus replaced the original primary CBJ logo with the current one featuring the Ohio flag and star when the last uniform provider swap happened in 2007. You can view a history of Blue Jackets uniforms here.

The 2017-18 uniform is expected to be debuted just before the draft in June. Uniforms are always a hot-button issue among fans; are there any changes you'd like to see made before the Jackets hit the ice again?
