The Columbus Blue Jackets are hoping they found the next great Swedish forward in the 4th round of the draft.
The Blue Jackets have selected forward Emil Bemström in the 4th round with the 117th pick of the NHL Draft. Bemström played this past season with Leksands in the SuperElit (Swedish Jr. League) and with Leksands in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).
In his time with Leksands in the SuperElit, Bemström posted 33 points in 28 games. In five games in the SHL, Bemström failed to produce a point.
Bemström also played in the U18 World Junior Championships for Sweden this past season and put up two points in seven games.
