The wait is now over.
The Columbus Blue Jackets and Alexander Wennberg have reached an agreement on a six-year deal for the Swedish center. The deal according to TSN's Darren Dreger is worth a total of $29.4 million and has an annual value of $4.9 million a season. Per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic, the deal doesn't contain a no-move clause or a no-trade clause in it.

In his first two seasons with the team, Wennberg doubled his year to year scoring from 20 to 40 points. Wennberg set career highs in both points and assists during the 2016-17 campaign putting up 59 points total.
