In another sign that Columbus is catching Blue Jackets fever, the club set a home attendance record Tuesday night with 19,337 fans at Nationwide Arena to see Columbus welcome the Washington Capitals for Game 3 of their first round series.
The crowd topped the old mark of 19,206 fans who showed up for a regular season game against the Detroit Red Wings on Jan. 21, 2013.
Interestingly, the six-largest home crowds in Blue Jackets history all watched games end regulation in a tie. The Blue Jackets are 3–0–3 in those games.
