A trade is a trade, right?

The team announced today that they traded current Cleveland Monsters defenseman John Ramage to the Arizona Coyotes organization for future considerations.

Ramage had played in 33 games this season for the Cleveland Monsters putting up two goals and seven assists for nine points on the year. He signed a two-year two-way contract before the beginning of the 2016-17 season.

In 170 games with the Cleveland/Lake Erie Monsters, Ramage scored 14 goals and posted 47 assists for a total of 61 points in his Monsters' career.

Ramage played in one game for the Columbus Blue Jackets; he put up no points; he did, however, post a +/- of -2 for the game.

This deal now puts the Blue Jackets at 45 contracts out of the maximum of 50 allowed by the NHL according to CapFriendly.com.
