After a much-needed two points Thursday against the Dallas Stars, the Columbus Blue Jackets are still hanging tight in the Metropolitan Division race with a third-place standing.

Two games await them this week as the NHL prepares for All-Star weekend, and the big one happens tonight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Tonight: Knights in Golden Armor

In the first-ever meeting between the two teams, the Blue Jackets will travel to Las Vegas to play the Golden Knights tonight at 10 p.m. The NHL's newest team has enjoyed an unprecedented run of success in its inaugural year, as the Golden Knights currently sit one point out of the NHL's top spot with 66 points. Thursday: Howling Mad

Going from playing the team with the most points in the NHL to playing the team with the least, the Blue Jackets hit the road again to play the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday. But these Coyotes have shown they can knock off teams in contention, as they took a valuable point from the New York Islanders with an OT win on Monday night. The Blue Jackets earned a 1-0 home victory the last time the two squads met, back in December. Puck drops at 9 p.m. on Fox Sports Ohio.

Saturday: They've Got Mad Skills

The 2018 NHL All-Star Skills Competition will take place Saturday at Amalie Arena in Tampa. We'll see the world's best show off their talents through stick-handling, passing, shooting, the hardest shot competition and plenty more. The action starts at 7 p.m. on NBCSN, CBC, SN, and TVA Sports.

Sunday: Let the Game Begin

The 2018 NHL All-Star Game, featuring the Blue Jackets' own Seth Jones, will begin in earnest at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. All-Star teams from each of the NHL's four divisions will compete 3-on-3 in 20 minute games in a single-elimination format to determine a winner. The event will be televised by NBC, CBC, SN, and TVA Sports.
