Columbus Blue Jackets Acquire Goaltender Jeff Zatkoff from the Los Angeles Kings in Exchange for Future Considerations

Future considerations are on the move again.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired goaltender Jeff Zatkoff from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for future considerations. 

Zatkoff has yet to play a game this season for the Ontario Reign, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings. 

He last played for the Reign in 2016-17 posting a .900 save percentage. He also saw time with the Kings playing in 13 games posting a .879 save percentage. 

The Cleveland Monsters' current goaltending duo of Matiss Kivlenieks and Ivan Kulbakov have posted .888, and .868 save percentages this season. 

This move puts the Blue Jackets back to 46 out of 50 contracts allowed according to CapFriendly.com.
