Another playoff appearance, but another first-round exit.
This one seemed to sting a little more, didn't it? The Blue Jackets held a 2-0 series lead and proceeded to lose the next four games to the Washington Capitals, bowing out in the first round for the fourth time in franchise history and for the second time in six games.
The dust settled yesterday with players doing exit interviews with media at Nationwide Arena. They also took time to thank fans for their support throughout the season, one that saw the Blue Jackets tear down the stretch to get into the playoffs for the second consecutive year.
