The Columbus Blue Jackets have established a culture, and they hope to continue it.
It started with bringing in John Davidson to be President of Hockey Operations and it worked its way down to bringing in General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen. As an extension of that, head coach John Tortorella is key to that culture.
It now appears that along with Davidson and Kekalainen, Tortorella will also be receiving an extension. It will happen sooner rather than later.
Kekalainen said they are working on an extension with Tortorella and "Were confident something will be in place" before the start of training camp next weekend. https://t.co/bjNhAIKb2P

Whether you love him or hate him, Tortorella looks to be around for a bit longer. The Blue Jackets organization is looking for stability and they definitely have a strong base. With a front office and coaching staff on the same page, they're hoping that their recent run of success continues.
With each of their pedigrees, why wouldn't it?
