The winningest coach in Columbus Blue Jackets history is going to stick around a bit longer. It was reported a few days ago that the two sides were close, but the team has now confirmed a two-year deal for John Tortorella.
CBJ have signed Head Coach John Tortorella to a 2-year extension.

This news also comes on the heels of extensions for Tortorella's two bosses – president of hockey operations John Davidson and general manager Jarmo Kekalainen – who brought Tortorella into the fold back in 2015.
As for Tortorella, it looks like he'll build upon the best resume any Columbus Blue Jackets coach has put together. His 129 wins are the most in franchise history, and he's led the team to back-to-back playoff appearances. His .588 winning percentage is also an all-time best franchise mark.
