When in doubt, call Artemi Panarin.

The Blue Jackets have now played in two overtime games this season and he's got the game-winning goal in each of them. Tonight, he took a pass from Pierre-Luc Dubois only 31 seconds into 3-on-3, giving the Blue Jackets (6-4-0) back-to-back wins.

Cam Atkinson scored twice in 31 seconds in the second period – setting a franchise history for fastest consecutive goals by one player – to take over the Blue Jackets' goal-scoring lead with six.

And in net, Joonas Korpisalo made 34 saves and won his fourth start in four tries, creating quite an interesting angle for John Tortorella as he decides how to use his goaltenders. Korpisalo certainly wasn't perfect tonight, but there's no arguing the results: the Blue Jackets are 4-0-0 in his starts this season.

With a three-goal second period, the Blue Jackets took a 4-2 lead into the third period but two quick goals in the third pulled Buffalo into a 4-4 tie. The Blue Jackets also found some penalty trouble down the stretch, but their penalty killing was stellar (led by Korpisalo) and they were able to get the game to overtime.

Injury Update

Brandon Dubinsky joined the FOX Sports Ohio desk crew during the second intermission tonight, telling them he's getting "closer" to a return from a strained oblique but no date has been set. He joined the team for its morning skate on Saturday.
