The Blue Jackets are welcoming in the New York Rangers to Nationwide Arena for a Metropolitan Division showdown. They will also welcome former player Rick Nash to drop the puck pregame. Nash retired earlier in the week after dealing with post-concussive issues.
The Blue Jackets are coming off a 2-1 overtime win against the Washington Capitals. A game-winner from Artemi Panarin made headlines due to his celebration after the fact.
The Rangers may not be one of the best teams in the entire league, they're still extremely skillful though. They have players up and down the lineup that can score. They just don't have the experience yet to sustain it for a season long.

STORYLINES
- The Blue Jackets have recalled Kole Sherwood for the game; there is a possibility that a player could miss the game due to injury/illness.
- It isn't immediately clear what kind of reception will come for Rick Nash tonight, but it should make for an experience. Add in the possibility of Kole Sherwood being in the lineup; Central Ohio hockey will be on the mainstage.
- After being away from the team Thursday, Sergei Bobrovsky is back but it isn't entirely clear if he will start tonight.
