When Liam Foudy finally suits up in a Columbus Blue Jackets sweater, he and Ryan Dzingel need to have a race.
Foudy is seemingly one of the fastest prospects the Blue Jackets have ever had (and it shows in this video), and he looked more and more like a promising first-round pick every game for the London Knights of the OHL.

While his speed may be his best attribute, he's surely not a one-dimensional player. In 62 games for the Knights during the 2018-2019 season, Foudy recorded 68 points (36 goals and 32 assists), a +39 rating and earned assistant captain honors.
It's unclear whether Foudy is ready to make the jump to the Blue Jackets' roster as early as next season, with prospects like Trey-Fix Wolansky, Alexandre Texier and Emil Bemstrom knocking at the door, but he's certainly close.
And at the very least, it's a very good problem to have for Columbus. Saying no to Foudy for a spot next season only means that their forward depth is looking as good as ever.
