Artemi Panarin thought he'd won the game in regulation for the Columbus Blue Jackets. His beautiful goal with 5:33 to play put his team up 2-1 on the New York Rangers, but the Rangers would get the equalizer with just seconds to play.
So “Bread” decided he'd win the game again.
His shootout goal and a superb performance from goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, who stopped all three Rangers he faced in the shootout, were more than enough to hand the Jackets a 3-2 win and punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the third year in a row.
Take a few minutes to watch and appreciate the pressure-packed performance of the two Russians.
