The Columbus Blue Jackets need another big win on Friday against the Chicago Blackhawks. It looks like they'll be turning to rookie netminder Elvis Merzlikins to try and get the win.
Torts: #CBJ to start Elvis Merzlikins in net.

Merzlikins was shellacked for seven goals against in his first start against the Pittsburgh Penguins. In that start against the Penguins, Merzlikins posted a .825 save percentage only saving 33 of 40 total shots.
The 25-year-old netminder will need consistency for him to be able to play at his best. With other goaltender Joonas Korpisalo taking over the net as the presumed starter from here on out, it will be interesting to see how Merzlikins is used.
