Welcome home, Mr. Sillinger!
With the 12th pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, the Blue Jackets have selected forward Cole Sillinger, who was born in Columbus. He spent last season split between Sioux Falls in the USHL and Medicine Hat in the WHL, tallying 22-33-55 in 52 games.
Cole Sillinger is a steal for the Blue Jackets. Big time skill, big time production. Oh, and there's this: pic.twitter.com/HeS0hmBUTd

Cole is the son of Mike Sillinger, who played over 1000 NHL games as a center, tallying 240-308-548 in 17 seasons split between Detroit, Vancouver, New York (Islanders), Anaheim, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Florida, Columbus (!!), St. Louis, Ottawa, Phoenix, and Nashville. It's fair to say he was a bit of a journeyman.
