Something's gotta give.
Either the Blue Jackets or Vancouver Canucks will leave Nationwide Arena Tuesday with their first win of the season. Both teams enter tonight's contest with identical 0-3-0 records to begin the 2022-23 season. While the Blue Jackets haven't played since Saturday, the Canucks played on Monday and tonight will be their third game in four nights.

Update on Patrik Laine
- Patrik Laine, who has not played since Wednesday and will be out for a total of three-to-four weeks with an elbow sprain, skated and shot pucks in full gear by himself today.
- Larsen on Laine: "I don't really have a solid update for you other than he's improving, but I don't think he's anywhere close to playing within the next couple of games."
