Patrik Laine is back.
The Blue Jackets announced Saturday that they activated Laine off injured reserve and assigned defenseman David Jiricek to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters.
Laine, who's posted 1-1--2 in four games this season, hasn't played since Oct. 20 when he suffered an upper-body injury from an illegal hit from Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson. Andersson received a four-game suspension for the hit.

Jiricek, 19, played 10 games and recorded 1-2--3 while playing 13:34 a night. Because he played 10 games, he burned the first year off his entry-level contract.
We've got ourselves ANOTHER first NHL goal.
