Blue Jackets @ Blackhawks
8:30 p.m., United Center
TV/Stream: NHL Network
The Columbus Blue Jackets head to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks and face a team that has already beat them once this preseason. Joonas Korpisalo will look to redeem himself after a shaky start to his training camp.
The defense features a good amount of players that normally contribute to the NHL club. How they react to the always high-powered Blackhawks will be a compelling storyline.

What to Watch For
An informal viewing guide, if you will, for Saturday's game on NHL Network:
- Wennberg Joins The Fray: Alex Wennberg joins the Blue Jackets after a visa issue and will debut in his first preseason game. After joining training camp late will there be rust to shake off or will he come out firing like he did last season
- Troubling Backup? Joonas Korpisalo is the backup for the Blue Jackets. There is no doubt about that. What he is able to do in these preseason games isn't an indication of the player but if he posts another sub .900 sv%, that will raise eyebrows.
- Last Chance To Impress: Players like Vitaly Abramov and Calvin Thurkauf did a great job while in Traverse City but they haven't scored at the same level in the preseason. The transition from junior hockey and the NHL is vast. These two players shouldn't be counted out if prior play is any indicator.
