It is now 4:00 July 20 and still no announcement of any sort about a head coach. With only two candidates, it can't be difficult at all to arrange and conduct interviews. And just how long can it possibly take to work out a contract when our GM has already discussed money with the teams currently holding the contracts of the only two candidates. If McLellan was still a candidate, that could justify the delay in naming a head coach. But every reputable source says LA killed that possibility. So, Don Waddell, why no updates? Even something as simple as saying that an interview with one of the candidates has been delayed for good reason would be helpful. But the only NHL team seeking a head coach with only two candidates being silent for over a week causes people to wonder.
