New jerseys are coming! New jerseys are coming!
And we don't mean the Devils.
It was reported in late May that a few changes were coming to the new sweaters to be worn by the Columbus Blue Jackets for the 2017-18 season as the NHL switches equipment providers to Adidas.
That set off some questions, namely, what might those changes be? We already knew third jerseys would be off the table for the upcoming campaign (teams will have only home and way uniforms), so would the cannon logo or even the colors from the old third be making a more pronounced appearance on the new sweater?
Our first hint as to what the design will be came today as the Blue Jackets along with a handful of other NHL teams released a promotion for the new Adidas equipment.

As you can see, the same primary logo that has been used for the past decade is featured in the promo, so it appears no major change is coming to the front of the sweater.
That's likely a relief to some fans and perhaps a disappointment to others, as fans love little more than discussing the clothing their favorite teams are wearing. The full release of the sweaters is expected in the leadup to the NHL draft, which begins June 23.
