Hockey will soon be taking place in a rink near you.
The Blue Jackets announced Thursday afternoon that their annual prospect development camp will take place June 26-29 at the OhioHealth Ice Haus. In other words, it's a similar time frame to previous years; the group will convene in Columbus immediately following the NHL Draft for four days of off-ice workouts, on-ice practices and team-building/educational activities around town.
Once again highlighting the week is the annual 3-on-3 prospects tournament, scheduled for Thursday, June 29 at 4:30 p.m.
New this year: the prospects will travel to Cleveland on June 28 to watch the Indians take on the Texas Rangers. Batting practice is on the docket, for those interested.
