After perhaps their signature win of the season – a 4-1 effort against the Pittsburgh Penguins – the Blue Jackets looked to be headed in the right direction. And while there were a few positives to take from last night's 2-0 shutout loss to the New York Islanders, this isn't the part of the season for moral victories.
Boston has been as good as just about anyone lately – having recently seen their 19-game point streak snapped – and given how tough the Blue Jackets' schedule has been lately, this may be the toughest test of the season.

Storylines
- Sergei Bobrovsky looked outstanding the last two times out, giving up just one goal (on a ridiculous shot) in last night's loss. Will the Blue Jackets turn to him again in net, though? They're set to play their third game in four nights – and this is their toughest opponent in that stretch – will his workload begin to become an issue?
- Boone Jenner missed last night's game with an illness. Will he be ready to play tonight? The Blue Jackets need all the help they can get lately, it seems.
- Saturday's game against the Penguins was seemingly the first time the Blue Jackets have played up to their potential in a big-time home game. Can they repeat that performance just a few days later?
