The Blue Jackets signed forward Justin Danforth to a one-year, $1.1M AAV extension through the 2024-25 season, the club announced Wednesday.
The 30-year-old forward was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent after this season and is now on track to be a UFA at the end of 2024-25, according to capfriendly.com.
In 51 NHL games since debuting with Columbus in 2021-22, Danforth has posted 12-5--7. After scoring 2-1--3 in six games to start 2022-23 he missed the remainder of the season with a torn labrum.
