While the present in Columbus might look gloomy, the future might be something to look forward to.

Let's take a look around the world and see how a handful of the Blue Jackets' prospects are playing so far this season.

Jordan Dumais, RW, Halifax Mooseheads [QMJHL], Draft: 2022, R3, P96

Dumais is the second-leading scorer in the CHL with 11 goals and 24 points in 10 games. That's more than the projected 2023 NHL Draft No. 1 pick Conor Bedard.

Kirill Marchenko, RW, Cleveland Monsters [AHL], Draft: 2018, R2, P49

In his first season playing pro hockey in North America, Marchenko's stats show he hasn't needed time to adjust. He's scored four goals and seven points in six games for Cleveland.

Denton Mateychuk, D, Moose Jaw Warriors [WHL], Draft: 2022, R1, P12

After scoring nearly a point per game last season, Mateychuk has scored two goals and nine points in his first eight games this season.

Corson Ceulemans, D, Wisconsin [NCAA - Big Ten] Draft: 2021, R1, P25

Ceulemans' sophomore season at Wisconsin has gotten off to a strong start. He's scored one goal and five points in six games for the Badgers.

Luca Del Bel Belluz, C, Mississauga Steelheads [OHL], Draft: 2022, R2, P44

After scoring 30 goals and 76 points in 68 games last season for Mississauga, Del Bel Belluz has posted five goals and 10 points in eight games.

Kirill Dolzhenkov, RW, Krasnaya Armiya [Rus-MHL], Draft: 2022, R4, P109

Dolzhenkov has gotten off to a hot start in the MHL, posting five goals and 15 points in 14 games.

Stanislav Svozil, D, Regina Pats [WHL], Draft: 2021, R3, P69

Svozil has scored one goal and seven points in 10 games in his second season with Regina.

Keep an eye out for these players to wear the Blue Jackets sweater in years to come.
