Captain Boone Jenner is climbing the franchise ranks.
Over the weekend in Finland, Jenner played in his 600th and 601st career games, both in the NHL and as a Columbus Blue Jacket.
By suiting up for the Nov. 4 game against the Colorado Avalanche—Colorado won 6-3—Jenner passed Nick Foligno for third on the all-time franchise list for games played. Jenner is 26 games from tying Cam Atkinson (627) for second on the franchise list and is 73 games from tying Rick Nash for the franchise lead. In that 6-3 loss on Friday, Jenner had an assist on Patrik Laine's goal at 7:16 of the second period which made it 3-2 in the game.

In the Nov. 5 game—a 5-1 loss—to the Avalanche, Jenner scored his second goal of the season, and his first power-play goal at 12:27 of the first period, which tied the score at one.

Drafted by Columbus in the second round with the 37th overall pick in the 2011 draft, Jenner made his NHL debut in 2013-14. Currently, he represents the longest-tenured Blue Jacket, having donned the union blue sweater for 10 seasons. In that time, he has amassed 290 points (146 goals, 144 assists).
Jenner has played all 82 games in a season twice, including in 2015-16 when he scored a career-best 49 points and 30 goals to go with 19 assists. The 70 games he played in 2019-20 would be considered a shortened-full season after the pandemic prematurely ended the regular season.
He was named the franchise's seventh captain in team history on Oct. 12, 2021.

In his first season as the captain, Jenner was on pace to have his best season before a back injury sidelined him for the rest of the year in Mar. 2022. He scored 44 points (23 goals, 21 assists) in 59 games.
As Jenner closes in on 300 career points, he's currently fifth on the all-time points list, with David Vyborny (317) and Foligno (334) in his sights. Nash (547) and Atkinson (402) are first and second. Jenner is third in goals behind Atkinson (213) and Nash (289), third in even-strength goals (111) behind Atkinson (155) and Nash (192), and he's in a fifth-place tie for short-handed goals with five. His 23-game-winning goals are third behind Atkinson (42) and Nash (44).
Jenner's longest career goal-scoring streak is four consecutive games between Dec. 1 through Dec. 9, 2014, (four goals, zero assists) and Mar. 12 through Mar. 19, 2018 (four goals, one assist).
His longest career points streak is six games from Mar. 8, 2018, through Mar. 19, 2018 (five goals, three assists), and Jan. 8, 2022, through Jan. 21, 2022 (four goals, three assists). He also had a five-game streak (three goals, five assists) in 2022 from Feb. 15 through Feb. 24. Jenner has seven career three-point games.
Jenner's first career goal came on the power play on Oct. 17, 2013, during a 5-3 loss in Montreal against Carey Price and the Canadiens.
Jenner has 58 career multi-point games and 12 career multi-goal games. Jenner notched his only career hat trick to date on Mar. 12, 2019, in a 7-4 win over the Boston Bruins, and his first goal of the game was his 100th career goal, coming while short-handed.
In 37 career playoff games, Jenner has 15 points (eight goals—third most in Blue Jackets history, and seven assists).
One of his biggest moments came at the highest point in franchise history when his first-period goal in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals helped propel the Blue Jackets 2-1 past the Bruins, giving Columbus a 2-1 series lead.
That game was arguably one of the best of Jenner's career considering the moment and the magnitude.
Then-NBC broadcaster John Forslund had it right during the 2019-20 Quarterfinals between the Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning when he said "right place, right time" in reference to Jenner during a key scoring play during Game 1.
That's because Jenner's takeaway on an errant pass from along the boards in his own zone, and subsequent pass to Josh Anderson, started an end-to-end rush, orchestrating the game-tying, short-handed, third-period goal. The goal helped the Jackets climb out of a 3-0 first-period deficit before completing the 4-3 comeback win en route to a 4-0 series sweep.
Jenner only had three points in that entire playoff series but a few of those came in the most pivotal moments.
In the 2013-14 Quarterfinals against the Penguins, Jenner had three goals in three straight games and finished the series with five points.
He had two goals—including the game-winning goal in Game 4—in two straight games against Pittsburgh in the 2016-17 Quarterfinals and added an assist for three points overall.
Against the Washington Capitals in 2017-18, he had three points (one goal, two assists), and in the 2019-20 playoff bubble, he had one point (a goal) against the Toronto Maple Leafs as the Blue Jackets won the five-game series.
It's been quite the career so far for the captain, and it's been fun looking back at Jenner's years in Columbus as he embarks on new milestones in the games and seasons ahead.
