After losing 4-1 to the Oilers on Tuesday, the Blue Jackets bounced back with a 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday and swept the season series with them, as well.

Yegor Chinakhov, Damon Severson, Alexandre Texier, Dmitri Voronkov, and Adam Fantilli all scored for the Blue Jackets while Daniil Tarasov stopped 28 of the 30 shots he faced.

With the win, the Blue Jackets improved to 15-23-9.

Here are three things from Thursday's game:

Chinakhov Back On The Score Sheet

After scoring five goals in a four-game span from Dec. 8 to Dec. 16, Chinakhov scored just three times in the 14 games since before registering the game's opening goal on Thursday. He's up to 12 goals on the season, which is one more than his career total entering the 2023-24 campaign.

First Short-Handed Goal

Entering tonight's game, the Blue Jackets were the only team in the league without a short-handed goal this season. After Alex Texier's game-winning goal in the second period, that is no longer the case.

Adam Boqvist and Jack Roslovic Leave Game

In the middle of the third period, Adam Boqvist took a puck to the face while sitting on the bench, went to the room, and did not return. At 11:08, Roslovic took a hit from behind from Jonathan Huberdeau, who was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding, and left the game with his face covered in blood. He did not return.
