Since acquiring Alex Nylander from the Penguins on Feb. 22, the Blue Jackets are 4-3-0 thanks to his play and the dynamic duo he's formed with Cole Sillinger.
In the last seven games, the pair has combined to post 8-4--12 including the second goal of Thursday's 4-2 win over the Oilers where Sillinger made a great play below the goal line before sending a perfect feed to a wide-open Nylander at the doorstep.

Cole Sillinger has now scored goals in three straight games! #CBJ pic.twitter.com/WEdo2hDwsk
Sillinger has shown major improvement this season, posting 11-14--25 in 58 games this season after scoring 3-8--11 in 64 contests in 2022-23. He's a crucial part of the Blue Jackets' rebuild so it's extremely promising to see him bounce back this season.
For Nylander, is this just a flash in the pan? Or can he sustain this level of play? Not that he'll be a point-per-game player, but if he's even a half-point-per-game player, that's a huge win for the Blue Jackets.
