During the Blue Jackets' 5-2 loss to the Lightning on Tuesday, Johnny Gaudreau recorded his 500th-career assist. Since entering the NHL full-time in 2014-15 (he played one game in 2013-14), he's tied for sixth in assists and third among wingers in that category.
With his team-leading 48th assist for the @BlueJacketsNHL this season, Johnny Gaudreau has officially reached NHL career assist No. 500.

This milestone capped off a 31-game stretch that saw him post 4-26--30, leading the team in scoring during that stretch.
After posting just 2-5--7 in the team's first 19 games, Gaudreau has posted 9-43--52 in his last 59 games.
Gaudreau is still a very good hockey player, and his recent stretch is proof of that.
