File this under "good news and bad news," perhaps?
For the last several years, the Blue Jackets have sold $10 day-of-game seats at the Nationwide Arena box office (they introduced a mobile option only last season), which were branded as "Huntington Green Seats" sponsored by Huntington Bank. The tickets went on sale two hours before game time for all home games.
It appears as though that promotion, which was at times wildly popular, is over.
On the club's official website, a short statement appears where Green Seats were once promoted. Here's the clip:
Green Seats will not be available in 2017-18.
A significant number of seats have been added to the Family Value Packs available for all Friday, Saturday and Sunday home games.
The Blue Jackets are pleased to continue offering fans a number of affordable ticket options listed above.
In addition, Student Rush tickets - once priced at $15 (upper bowl) and $25 (lower bowl) - have increased in price from $20 and $30, respectively. While the price of success is, of course, higher prices, some Blue Jackets fans are not thrilled with the change.
Hey thanks @BlueJacketsNHL for getting rid of green seats... Really appreciate it!!! guess that's what happens when the team is good...
