Tonight marked yet another divisional loss for the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are deeply stuck in a rut lately. Here's what they had to say after the game.

Coach John Tortorella

On having to kill off so many penalties: “We can’t take that many.”

On the flow of the game: "Obviously the first period we struggled. just one of those games, both teams defended well, I thought we had some opportunities in the second and third. both teams defended really well."

On the Flyers: “They’re a good team. I thought we played good tonight. I’m not going to pick apart the team because we didn’t get 50 shots tonight, this is the way these games are, they’re gonna get tighter and tighter. First period, we just don’t get any momentum, we take two penalties. I think we struggled making simple plays but our guys gathered themselves and played two good periods.

On the officiating: "I’m not going to piss and moan about it but it is what it is. we needed to kill another one and we didn’t and it cost us the game."

On Artemi Panarin registering his 200th career point: "I’m not interested in milestones right now."

Defenseman Jack Johnson

On the penalty kill: "I thought our kill was great all night up until they got that [a power play goal]."

On the end result: "It’s 2-1, we had some chances and we didn’t give ourselves much leeway."

On the opponents: "We were talking about being too stubborn in the neutral zone. They do a good job of playing defensively in the neutral zone and staying on our forwards. Really the only thing you can do is play pucks behind them and try to force some turnovers. i thought we did a much better job of that in the second. They have good sticks, they’re very responsible defensively… sometimes making simple boring plays – that’s all they’re going to give you."

On the team’s recent play: "It’s frustrating from the outside but for us right now we’re just trying to find solutions, we’re not sitting here being frustrated we’re trying to find solutions… we have a problem, we’re going to fix it."

Winger Matt Calvert

On the penalty that led to the Flyers’ goal: "It was a questionable too many men, I think."

On Artemi Panarin’s goal for the Blue Jackets: "That’s what he does for us, hopefully he keeps doing it."

On the officiating: "The refs seemed to crack down on the penalties and the face-offs tonight, almost like they had a meeting with the league or something."

On the team’s recent play: "It’s extremely frustrating, just can’t find the rhythm. even when we were pumping 50 shots on the net, we were playing different types of hockey teams. but we had a couple of chances shorthanded but we’ve got to put those in, I’m kind of sick of saying it but we have to do those more."
