Through 70 games this season, the Columbus Blue Jackets went without a hat trick.
They've had three in the past two weeks, and now three in their last four games on the road.
Tonight it was Thomas Vanek's turn to throw his hat in the three-goal ring.
Goal No. 1 one came on a bit of puck luck, as Oilers defenseman Kris Russell deflected an initial save by Cam Talbot back into the net.

For his second goal, it was Vanek himself who deflected the puck into the net and equalized the game at 3-3.

Dusting off the cap-tossing feat was a snipe off the pipe from the point.
