The Columbus Blue Jackets have released their schedule for the 2022-23 season.
The Blue Jackets will begin their 22nd season on the road on Oct. 12, against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Key Home Dates
The home opener will be on Oct. 14, when the Jackets host the Tampa Bay Lightning.
John Tortorella makes his return to Nationwide Arena for the first time as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers on Nov. 10.
Seth Jones missed his return back to Nationwide Arena last season when he was out with COVID. Jones and the Blackhawks return to Columbus on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31.
Home Sweet Home
The longest homestand of the season is from Nov. 15-25, when the Jackets will play six straight home games.
On the Road Again
Brad Larsen’s club will play the Colorado Avalanche in Tampere, Finland as part of the NHL Global Series on Nov. 4-5.
The longest road trip of the season takes place from Mar. 14-21, when the Jackets will play five consecutive road games including three in California, and one in Vegas, before the trip concludes in D.C. against the Capitals.
The regular season will come to an end at Nationwide Arena on Apr. 13 when the Jackets take on the Pittsburgh Penguins
Back To Back
Columbus has their first back-to-back from Oct. 14-15, when they will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in Columbus for the home opener and then travel to St. Louis to face the Blues. That is the first of the 16 back-to-backs on the schedule.
In all, the Blue Jackets get 12 Friday night games, including seven at home. There are 20 games scheduled for Saturday, with 10 of those being at home.
