The Blue Jackets announced Friday that they signed winger Carson Meyer to a one-year, two-way (NHL/AHL) deal for the 2023-24 season. According to The Athletic's Aaron Portzline, Meyer will receive $210k guaranteed, a $775k NHL salary, and a $190k AHL salary.

Meyer, 25, was set to be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights this off-season and will be one again after the expiration of his new deal.

The Blue Jackets drafted Meyer, a Columbus-area native, in the sixth round (179th overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft.

In 27 NHL games over two seasons, he's posted 1-3--4 including 0-1--1 in 14 games in 2022-23. At the AHL level, he's played in 117 games and scored 34-39--73 including 9-17--26 in 36 games this past season.
