The club later announced that, in exchange for Robinson, they received a conditional seventh-round pick in 2025 that originally belonged to Nashville. If Robinson plays 45 NHL games this season, per capfriendly.com.

Robinson, an undrafted free agent, made his NHL debut in 2017-18 and has posted 38 goals and 82 points in 266 NHL regular season games along with one goal in 10 playoff games, all with Columbus. This season, he registered one goal in seven NHL games and one goal and three assists in nine AHL games.
He is in the final year of a two-year, $1.6M AAV contract.
